Slow Flow+ Vinyasa

Leia's classes begin with SATYA yoga, a yin-style mindful movement aimed at preparing participants for the flow class. Her vinyasa classes are steady and graceful yet strong, incorporating both standing and balancing poses. These classes emphasize technique while working towards achieving a peak pose. Leia's Slow Flow classes follow a rhythmic pace and focus on overall body stretching to promote a meditative state of mind. She integrates Eastern philosophy and self-inquiry into her classes, leaving participants feeling both energized and grounded.

SATYA Yoga

Leia studied SATYA yoga, a subtle body practice, at Prajna Yoga in Santa Fe, NM. This flowing yin style practice takes place on the ground and prepares the body for deeper work. SATYA yoga enhances the ‘Fluid Body’ by stimulating lymphatic drainage, improving blood circulation, and calming the nervous system.

Prajna Yoga describes its approach as “a unique body of work designed to support ease, joy, and flow in the body. SATYA (Somatic Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement) combines elements of dance, yin yoga, Feldenkrais, and myofascial release. This practice helps reduce fatigue by filling the body with prana.”

Leia incorporates this meditative practice into her classes, using it to gently stretch while fostering a contemplative mind and an easeful heart.

REstorative Yoga

At Prajna Yoga, Leia studied "The Art of Healing," where the transformative power of yoga lies in tailoring each pose to fit the unique needs of the individual. This personalized approach not only calms the nervous system but also quiets the mind through the effective use of supportive props and gentle stretching.

Each class begins with SATYA yoga, designed to enhance blood flow and stimulate lymphatic movement, followed by 4 to 5 long-held supportive postures, complete with hands-on assists. This practice fosters deep relaxation and healing, making it an essential experience for anyone seeking balance and well-being.
